The Project Management Professional (PMP®) is the most important industry-recognized certification for project managers. You can find PMP® holders leading projects in nearly every country and, unlike other certifications that focus on a particular geography or domain, the PMP® is truly global. As a PMP®, you can work in virtually any industry, with any methodology, and in any location.
What is the Eligibility Criteria / Pre-requisites for the PMP® Exam?
Secondary degree (High school diploma, Associate’s Degree or Global equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years/60 months unique non-overlapping professional project management experience
- …during which at least 7,500 hours were spent leading and directing the project
- 35 contact hours of formal education

Four-year degree (Bachelor’s degree or Global equivalent)

What is the PMP® exam pattern?
The PMP® Exam candidates are required to solve 200 multiple-choice questions within a duration of 4 hours.

How will I be assessed for PMI®'s –PMP® Examination?
Applicants will need to complete the following steps to apply for the PMP® Exam:
- Register with PMI® and log into your account after registration
- Apply for PMI® Membership and complete the online application form
- Submit the application online
- Upon acceptance, you will need to schedule your examination

What is the duration of the training?
The training duration within India is 4 days and for the International locations, it is a 5-day training program
Do you provide certificates on successfully completing the course?
Yes, at the end of the training course, you will receive a soft copy of the PMP® training completion certificate on your email which states that you have successfully completed the course.
When are the classes conducted?
Training sessions are conducted on weekends only. For in-house sessions, it can be as per the customer requested schedule.

Where do I take the PMP® examination?
PMP® exams are conducted at approved Prometric Testing Centres worldwide. You can check for locations on Prometric’s website near to your location.
How should I make the payment and what are the modes of payment available? Do I get a receipt or confirmation for the same?
Payments can be made using any of the following options. Receipt of the same will be issued via email.

What has been changed in the new PMP® exam format?
The domains for the new PMP® exam have been updated to include more diverse skills and approaches. The new exam will focus on three domains:

- Process
- Business Environment
The new content focuses on Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid approaches in the exam.

How can candidates apply to sit for the exam?
Candidates must complete an application. Candidates are encouraged to apply online at PMI®.org. Once started, the application may not be cancelled but may be saved unfinished. It will remain open for 90 days.
How long does it take for PMI® to process the application?
Online applications are typically processed within five business days. Individual applications submitted by mail take approximately 10 business days. Once the application and fee have been processed, PMI® will electronically send the Examination Scheduling Instructions, confirming that the applicant is eligible to take the exam.
Eligibility is good for one year from the day that the application was approved. The exam may be taken three times within the eligibility period should applicants not pass on the first attempt.
How do candidates schedule time to sit for the exam?
Once eligible to take the exam, the examination scheduling instructions received from PMI® will instruct the applicant to contact Prometric at www.prometric.com to select a date and location for taking the exam. The PMP® exam is a computer-based exam and may be scheduled by applicants at any time available at any of the Prometric sites.
Information about site locations and scheduling may be found at Prometric’s website. Select the “Professional Licensure and Certification” for test type and “Project Management Institute” for testing program.
What if a candidate has to cancel after scheduling the exam?
You may reschedule or cancel your exam if done at least two full days prior to your exam date. However, cancelling or rescheduling the exam within 30 days of a scheduled exam date will incur a rescheduling fee. Be sure to confirm the cancellation/rescheduling guidelines with Prometric when scheduling the exam.
